NONYE MPHO OMOTOLA
Nonye is a Communications Specialist with over 15 years strategic brand experience gained in the UK, South Africa and Nigeria. She also contributes to a number of African media titles and has been a Guest Lecturer at Gordon’s Institute of Business to full time MBA students on Executing Marketing Strategies in Africa and senior executives on Doing Business in Nigeria.
She currently contracts with MultiChoice Africa and drives stakeholder engagement and social investment in Africa with projects such as the CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Award the MultiChoice Resource Centres and the DStvEutelsat Star Awards.
Born and raised in the UK to South African and Nigeria parents, Nonye’s diverse upbringing and skill set puts her in a position whereby not only is she fully conversant with local and global trends, but she is uniquely able to integrate across cultures and lifestyles.
Nonye is a Freelance writer for Forbes Woman Africa and has notably interviewed Minister of Finance and Co –coordinating Minister of the Economy, Nigeria, Dr Okonjo Iweala, Brand SA Chairperson Charlotte Maponya and Africa’s Richest Woman, Mrs Folourunso Alakija for Destiny Magazine.
With extensive media experience and a passion for impactful communications Nonye is committed to the positive projection of the African continent, and is frequently invited to speak at local and international conferences on Strategic Branding and Business in Africa.
Nonye sits on the Board of NIDO SA (Nigerian in Diaspora South Africa) and is a founding member of the Guild of Nigerian Professionals SA. She also sits on the Brand Africa Counsel an inter-generational movement to create a positive image of Africa.
She enjoys writing poetry, loves art and creativity in addition to exploring fresh opportunities. With a a certificate in wine tasting she enjoys fine dining and lifestyle.
Nonye is passionate about the development of the African continent especially the girl child and is the Founder of Beautiful Flowers an initiative dedicated to raising young girls into accomplished young women.
